ABOUT ASUS

In the center of North Carolina lies Fort Liberty (formerly known as Fort Bragg), home of the U.S. Army’s airborne and special operations forces. One of the largest installations in the world, the base was put under the care of Old North Utility Services, Inc. (ONUS) in 2007, marking the start of a 50-year contract to oversee water and wastewater systems for the headquarters and its surrounding airfields, including Pope Army Airfield, Simmons Army Airfield, and Camp Mackall. Today, ONUS is the largest ASUS subsidiary with the greatest amount of equipment under its care, including more than 2 million linear feet of water distribution piping and 1.6 million feet of wastewater piping; 9 storage tanks holding more than four million gallons of water; and 167 wastewater lift stations.

Our state-certified operators ensure the safe delivery of all potable water and the secure removal of wastewater, carefully adhering to both local and federal regulations. With a deep commitment to customer care, ONUS works diligently to protect every drop of water. As a utility provider, we constantly analyze our distribution and collection systems to determine which areas might need repair, replacement, or even supplementary facilities. ONUS also puts a strong focus on water efficiency, actively providing educational outreach for customers to further encourage better resource management.

We at ONUS are proud to be able to provide our services to the 140,000 military personnel, civilians, and family members who live and work at Fort Liberty and its surrounding facilities. We are honored to support the role these military installations play in defending the country, both at home and abroad.
